Comments:Class time may change depending on Arcadia HS schedule. M-Th. 2:40-3:30 (+/- 5 min) Class on Friday is from 1:36-2:17 and flexible as a study hall if schedules don't align.

LMS instructions:The language of the health profession is presented in this dual-credit course for upper level high school students. Hundreds of vocabulary terms and meanings are presented. Basic knowledge of word parts and mastery of the skill of breaking complex terms down into word parts is emphasized. Students earn three-hours of HLTH1060 college credit through Central Community College. Using the workbook, Medical Terminology for Health Professions 8th Edition 2017. CODEC/Zoom will provide visual contact using Power Points, slide shows, discussions, games, videos and a variety of learning options: Kahoot.it & Quizlet. CANVAS will be used for the delivery of assignments-test taking. It is ultimately up to each student to make and study flashcards, complete the workbook, listen to Audio CD's-downloads and use all available resources to learn the information. Grades are on CANVAS & PowerSchool as needed for eligibility/report cards.

Comments:This class will be held during APS 8th period from~2:40-3:30 PM. Times are flexible so students need to be self driven to complete assignments. Friday, APS runs shorter from 1:36 PM dismissing at 2:17 PM so usually a work day for students & I dial in for attendance. Codec Life Size/ZOOM, CANVAS, texting, google docs and email all assist with communications.
