| Description: | Compacted third and fourth year French is for the student who is self-motivated and capable of completing third year and fourth year French in one year. Emphasis will be on communication (both oral and written) while acquiring the necessary skills to complete the third and fourth year French course learnings. Activities cover cultural and historical aspects of the French language. Much of this course is taught in French. Students must be willing to be active participants in using French in all activities daily and to experience a more challenging course of study with an emphasis on developing higher order thinking skills. All students who are interested in this class must complete an application, write a short essay, have teacher recommendation, and take an end-of-second-year French skills test. A grade of a C or better is highly recommended for success at the next level. |
