Course Name: | NEVA Physics A |
Entity: | ESU 13 |
Description: | NEVA Physics1 & 2:
Physics I (first semester) & Physics II (second semester) will explore the basic fundamental principles that govern the natural world. Topics include: motion, forces, work, energy, momentum, gravity, waves, optics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, relativity, and atomic/nuclear physics. Students in the course will encounter everyday physics, extraordinary physics and, of course, plenty of zombies.
This course uses a problem-based learning approach designed to make the material interesting and relatable. Students will tackle a myriad of problem-solving scenarios in order to attain deeper understanding of the forces and interactions shaping their world.
A variety of resources will be utilized during the course such as online content (including virtual simulations and video analysis software), phone/tablet apps, twice monthly video conference sessions with their instructor, and a take home lab kit. |
