Course Name:AP Statistics

Description:This course will introduce students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. This course involves data interpretation and technical writing. Students are exposed to four broad conceptual themes: Exploring Data, Sampling and Experimentation, Anticipating Patterns, and Statistical Inference.  Important components of the course will include the use of technology, projects and laboratories, cooperative group problem-solving, and writing.  An exam will be administered in May.  Most colleges and universities in the U.S. have an AP policy granting incoming students credit, placement, or both on the basis of their AP Exam grade.
